DEAD FROG found in Pret A Manger Customer's ORGANIC Salad

In December 2013, a raw, unboned DEAD Frog was found in a Pret A Manger customer's ORGANIC Tuna Salad. The customer ordered organic greens and tuna for lunch out with colleagues and was "pretty shaken"  when she received her salad and clearly saw the dead frog nestled amongst her veggies and tuna.

Pret A Manger issued a statement: "At Pret A Manger, we take issues like this very seriously. Our lettuce is sourced from farms that do not use any pesticides on its produce, therefore organic matter does very rarely manage to pass through our production process. We are currently looking into this issue to make every effort that this does not happen again".

At TIC, we believe it is crucial that any company selling ORGANIC vegetables and fruits MUST be sure to instigate and follow a THOROUGH CLEANING PROCESS to ensure those vegetables are clean and free of dead animals..

LIVE BLACK WIDOW Spider found In WHOLE FOODS Grapes

Location: Fairfield, Connecticut
Offence: Whole Foods customer finds LIVE BLACK WIDOW in Organic Grapes purchase
Culprit: Live Black Widow Spider

A Connecticut woman, Nora Weiss, received a shock in December 2012 after she purchased a bag of Sunview Organic Table Grapes from the Fairfield Whole Foods store. When she took the grapes out of the bag to wash them, she discovered a LIVE Black Widow spider!

Whole Foods issued a statement saying that the claim could be true since no pesticides are used on organic produce and stressed that the "safety of our shoppers is incredibly important."
Widow spiders are considered the most venomous spiders in North America. According to National Geographic, a black widow bite can cause muscle aches, nausea, and paralysis of the diaphragm making it difficult to breath.
Weiss received a full refund.

At TIC, we believe it is crucial that any company selling ORGANIC vegetables and fruits MUST be sure to instigate and follow a THOROUGH CLEANING PROCESS to ensure those vegetables are clean and free of dead animals..

PIZZA HUT District Manager URINATES in Utensil Sink - Kermit, W. Va

Location: Kermit, W. Va. (Mingo County)
Offense: Pizza Hut employee caught on video URINATING in a  UTENSIL SINK
Culprit: District Manager (name not provided)

In the latest fast food photo mishap, a district manager is shown in a surveillance video urinating in the kitchen sink of a Pizza Hut in a small town in West Virginia. The restaurant location in Kermit, which is on the border with Kentucky, has been closed since the video surfaced this week, though the incident was recorded several weeks ago.

DISGUSTING AND HIGHLY OFFENSIVE and UNHEALTHY!! Contrary to what Pizza Hut, or its parent company Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM ) , states publicly, this incident is a problem. If you like to look at negative situations with a glass-half-full attitude, then at least it took place after business hours. If you look at things from a face-value perspective, then it's COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY UNACCEPTABLE!!

Yum! Brands... There's a good chance that many consumers will be turned off to Pizza Hut by this incident since this is DEFINITELY NOT PROVIDING QUALITY TO CUSTOMERS AND IS COMPLETE LAZINESS ON THE PART OF ONE OF YOUR "DISTRICT MANAGERS"... NO matter if this occurred after hours, there is NO ACCEPTABLE EXCUSE!

The video of the employee was aired on local television station WOWK-TV and is likely going viral as this is being written.  https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=Ar.TSF0MlJ7QIASG2FyuVS6bvZx4?p=ideo+of+pizza+hut+employee+urinating+in+sinnk&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-901

Tough Inspectors Consulting: ABOUT US

Tough Inspectors Consulting ("TIC") was established in 2006 and is individually and locally owned. TIC is dedicated to providing quality professional restaurant inspections to all retail restaurants throughout the DFW Metroplex . TIC inspectors are highly trained professionals, taking at least 20 hours of continuing education annually and working with specialists in many of the trades.

TIC provides a variety of comprehensive inspections and training sessions. This allows us to customize each inspection, based on the current needs of any given establishment. Our reports are extremely detailed and in some instances, accompanied by photographs. To ensure QUALITY inspections, TIC management limits the number of inspections TIC inspectors are allowed to conduct, to a maximum of four per day!!

We believe that the inspection process must be utilized as an educational experience and not just a run-through of a checklist of items.

We strongly encourage our clients to be active participants in the inspection process. This allows the owner/inspector to develop a personal relationship with each client. If ever there are client concerns, then you speak directly with the person that can make things right.

For your convenience, we email your report in PDF format, within 24 hours. Or if you do not have access to a computer, a printed version of the report will be made available upon request.

TFER-based restaurant inspections are based upon critical elements identified by the state of Texas, known as "Texas Food Establishment Rules" and are used by a majority of local Texas health departments. The 55 Pt restaurant Inspection is TIC's most comprehensive inspection and focuses on every aspect of a restaurant's food service operation, from proper storage of food products, food temperatures for cooked and uncooked product, assessment of equipment/utensil condition, water systems, garbage disposal, pest control and structural componets (walls, floors, ceilings, lighting and ventilation.), etc. *Foster care/Adoptive home inspections are now offered for the low price of $65, dependent on residence location.

Food Safety Training classes

TIC knows that for both large restaurants and small business owners..FOOD SAFETY, FOOD SANITATION, AND GOOD HYGIENIC PRACTICES are crucial!! We understand that your employees need to be trained and that finding the time to send your staff offsite for training can be frustrating and very expensive.

TIC will have an expert come to your location and bring the quality of training that your business and employees deserve. We will schedule your class to a time and day (6 days a week) that best fits your schedule. After all, the best place to train YOUR staff is in YOUR business! We request that you have 6 or more students for each class.

TIC Restaurant "Mystery Shopping"

A TIC inspector will arrive onsite as a "customer" and after a lengthy vist, inform you about how your servers and other employees interact with your customers when you're not there. You'll know which employees are rude and which ones are stellar -especially, in regards to customer service. We will be YOUR extra pair of expert eyes, seeing your business from a customers point of view.

**TIC conducts visual inspections of those food establishment components that are accessible and can be viewed or operated without dismantling parts or moving furnishings. If a defect is hidden under furnishings or inside walls or is buried, it can be impossible for the inspector to locate the defect.
